We're deep into one of our favorite builds right now - a massive deck designed specifically to hold a hot tub, with views that honestly make the job feel pretty easy. The framing is nearly done and the bones of this thing are serious.
Here's what we were working with from the ground up: concrete footings set into the soil, posts anchored with heavy-duty post bases, and beam after beam run perfectly level across the entire span. You don't cut corners on a structure meant to hold a loaded hot tub. The weight demands a frame built right, and that's exactly what we put together.
One section is already decked out in composite - a sharp charcoal gray that's going to look incredible once the whole surface is finished. Composite is a smart call for a hot tub deck. It handles moisture, it won't rot or splinter, and it holds up year after year without the constant maintenance that wood demands. Our clients are going to get a lot of use out of this one.
We also have to give a shoutout to our clients for the Easter treat break - chocolate pretzel nest cookies with candy eggs, handed right off the workbench. That's the kind of thing that keeps the crew fired up on a long build day. Good people make good projects even better.
This is what deck building looks like from the ground up. Every level run, every connection point, every board placed with intention. We're excited to show the finished product soon.
